2010 Turkeys

Florida Osceola Turkey

This year again we were 100% on Osceola Turkeys. Our three clients all took mature birds as well as our own Fred Eichler who harvested two nice birds on video. Another great year in Florida!!

Colorado Merriams Turkey

This year has been a little tough with the weather but all but two clients filled their tags. We had 12 clients here in Colorado and all but 2 tagged out on nice birds. Our last client had several opportunities but just couldn’t connect.

2010 Bear Success Photos

1st Rifle elk and bear season was awesome!!! We had 6 clients in this week and 1 of them also had a bear tag. All in all 6 elk hit the ground and one monster 387 lb field dressed Chocolate bear was harvested.

2nd Rifle Elk and Deer we had 7 hunters in for the first 5 days. 4 had elk tags so we were 100% on elk again. In total they harvested 4 elk and 4 deer. The only deer hunter that did not harvest an animal passed on a nice buck that was later harvested by Larry from Illinois. The last 5 days of the 2nd season we had another 4 elk hunters and all 4 harvested nice bulls. So we were 100% on elk for both of our 2nd season elk hunts.

3rd Rifle Season We had 9 elk hunters and 1 deer hunter this season. We harvested 2 6 x 6 bulls and 1 5 x 5 bull. We had lots of other close calls and had 1 small 4 x 4 passed up at 120 yards and a nice 5 x 5 was also passed on. Our one Mule deer hunter shot a nice 4 x 4 on his last day. After five days all but one hunter had a shot opportunity on a legal bull.

4th Rifle Season. We had 3 hunters and one hunter harvested a bull while the other two scored on two nice cows.

Dale from Kentucky doubled on day two with this monster Chocolate black bear after taking a nice bull elk the same morning. This bear after being field dressed weight 387 pounds!!

Rifle Antelope: Once again we are 100% successful on rifle Antelope hunts. We had 6 buck hunters and 2 doe hunters and all harvested beautiful antelope.

2010 Archery/Rifle Deer Success Photos

We had one early season archery deer hunter. Mike from Colorado shot a big 176 inch Mule deer in Velvet.

Late season Archery Deer.

WHITETAIL: We had 3 Archery Whitetail hunters this year. One shot a nice 10 point today after passing on 3 bucks at less than 20 yards, including a a 5 x 5 130 inch buck at 7 yards. The other passed some Pope and Young bucks in the 125-135 range in hopes of connecting with one of the monsters we have on the riverbottom. And our own Jake Kraus shot a nice 8 pt whitetail for Easton Bowhunting TV.

MULE DEER: We had 4 Archery Mule Deer Hunters and ALL harvested nice bucks. All were Traditional bowhunters using either longbows or recurves. Our own Fred Eichler shot a beautiful 170 inch Mule Deer on the ground at 8 yards on video. Look for this show on Easton Bowhunting TV on the Sportsman’s Channel beginning in January 2011. Lastly, our son Seth took his first elk. A nice cow. Dad Fred guided him and brothers Jeb and Trent helped.
So far we have had six Late Season cow elk hunters, and all six took nice cows and saw between 50 and 100 elk on their hunt.

2011 Colorado Turkey

Our first 2 clients were both successful harvesting beautiful Toms. Each had multiple shot opportunities on their hunt.

We have had 3 more clients and all 3 scored on nice birds. 2 Shot Toms on the 1st day of their hunt and the other shot a nice bird on the second day. Our own Jake Kraus shot a beautiful Merriams tom with Fred’s Buffalo recurve on his day off.

2011 Antelope

Awesome first week of Antelope Season. We had 9 guided clients and 7 out of 9 harvested Bucks. 8 out of 9 got shots and the one guy that didn’t shoot passed some smaller bucks. We had 4 shots missed. We were 100% on opportunities at legal bucks and we were 78% on harvested bucks. Additionally, 5 of the 7 bucks made Pope and Young. Also not included in the above numbers our own Fred Eichler harvested a Pope and Young buck on video. We had 2 non-guided hunters, that unfortunately had to leave due to an emergency. They weren’t able to finish their hunt and neither harvested.

The 2nd week we had 8 guided hunter. Another incredible week with 7 out of the 8 harvesting bucks. Additionally, four of the seven made Pope and Young for another awesome week at Fulldraw Outfitters. Check out the Great photos by clicking on the link above.

The 3rd week we had 5 hunters and although the weather was tough with winds and overcast skies. We harvested 2 Bucks and had 2 Bucks missed. One of the Bucks made Pope and Young.

We had 1 non-guided Archery Antelope hunter in last week and although he hunted hard the wet weather made for a rough hunt. He saw some good bucks but no shots.

2011 NM Archery Deer

We had a total of 8 hunters this year. 6 of the 8 took nice bucks and the other two had shot opportunities. All in all a great year in New Mexico.

2011 Rifle Elk/Bear/Deer

1st Rifle Season- We had 6 clients in this week. We had a client pass on a 5 x 5 bull the first morning and we had 2 6 x 6 bulls missed. One at 140 yards and one at 390 yards. We also had one nice 6 x 6 bull harvested. Unseasonable hot weather in the 80’s and a full moon made this our toughest 1st season elk hunt we’ve ever had. We were 50% on opportunities and only had one bull harvested. We are hoping for the weather to cool off and a better second season.

2nd Rifle Season- Was Awesome!! We had 8 Elk hunters but unfortunately one had to leave early for a business emergency. The remaining 7 all harvested nice Bulls! Our First two deer hunters went 2 for 2 on nice Bucks and our second group of deer hunters went 1 for 3 and all saw good bucks. Our Oldest son Jeb also shot a nice buck.

3rd Rifle Season: This week we had 9 hunters in camp and the weather was tough. We still had 2 6 x6 Bulls killed and 1 6 x 6 bull missed. We also had 2 bulls passed on. We did take one nice Colorado Whitetail on our Ranch during 3rd Season also.

4th Rifle Season. We had one hunter this week for Elk and he shot a nice bull the First day of his hunt.

2011 Archery and Rifle Bear

We had one bear hunter in camp and he had 4 bull elk in range and saw one big sow with a cub but no other opportunities. Our own Fred shot a small but pretty chocolate colored bear to add some bear meat to our freezer. One of our Non-guided Elk hunters harvested a beautiful chocolate bear with a recurve out of one of our wall tent camps.

With no other bear hunters in camp, one of our elk hunters spotted a monster bear on a waterhole. Fred guided our oldest son Jeb to take the big boar with his Rockriver rifle.

2011 Cow Elk

Ended the elk season with a double with our oldest boys Jeb and Seth, Dad Fred guided with Assistant Guide Trent

We have 7 Cow Elk hunters coming in for the December Cow Elk Season. Our First Cow Elk hunter shot his cow the afternoon he arrived and left just before we had a snow storm hit. Unfortunately our 2nd cow elk hunter came the next day and deep snow and heavy snow made animal movement stop and he had to leave before his hunt ended. Our Third Client shot a nice cow on his last evening. Our last four cow elk hunters all shot elk, one shot his on the first morning of the hunt and we had two missed shots and the last 3 all shot cows on the third morning. Making us 6 of 7 for the season, with the one hunter leaving a day early.

With all our clients done, Our two oldest boys guided by Dad Fred and assistant guide Trent shot a double. Nana is here for Christmas so we got a wonderful picture (taken by mom Michele )

2011 Late Season Archery Deer

We had one Archery Whitetail hunter in November. He came close missing 2 Bucks and seeing lots of deer. Our own Michele Eichler shot a nice whitetail on the river bottom for Muzzy Bad to the Bone TV. Our own Fred Eichler shot an awesome buck on video yesterday, Photos are up. Lastly we had two late season Archery Deer Hunters , our first hunter passed on some small and medium bucks and missed 2 shots on huge bucks and finally scored on a nice Pope and Young buck on his last day. The other hunter saw some monster bucks and passed on some small and medium bucks his hunt ended when huge snow storm made it impossible to get out east. All in all a great deer season.

Jonathan from Ohio shot his first Mule deer ever on the last day of his hunt. He passed on some small and medium bucks and missed a monster 180+ but ended on

a great note with this nice buck shot in a snow storm. Jonathan was guided by Fred.

2010/2011 Mtn Lion

Yesterday after arriving back in Colorado, Fred guided our oldest son Jeb to his first Mtn Lion that same afternoon. Snow is good and we have called another client in. Will keep you posted.

Finally got some more snow and called in Chase from Kentucky. Chase shot a beautiful tom the day after he arrived.

Mt Lion Season is open and we have our first lion on the ground. Our own Fred took advantage of a small skiff of snow here on our ranch and shot a beautiful Pope and Young Tom to start out the season. The snow was gone by that afternoon.

Scott from Colorado returned to continue his hunt and on the 1st day harvested this nice cat.

2012 Spring Turkey

Turkey season has come and gone!

Week 1: We had 6 hunters in our first group. Opening morning we had snow! It was a great 3 day hunt and all six of our hunters saw numerous birds and 5 out of 6 took nice birds.

Week 2: We had 3 hunters in our next group. One shot a beautiful Merriams gobbler on the first morning of his hunt. The other two hunters went 1 for 2 and numerous birds seen.

Week 3: We had 4 hunters in our third group. All four had shots and 3 took home some nice birds.

Week 4: Our fourth group had a good hunt but no birds on the ground. We had two hunters miss 3 birds , one at 12 yards, one at 22 yards and one at 25 yards and one hunter passed on some younger birds. Our fourth hunter saw birds but nothing came into range.

Week 5: Our fifth group of hunters tagged out by the second day. The first hunter shot a great gobbler the first ten minutes of his hunt. And on the second day our second hunter made a excellent shot on a mountain jake at 30 yards.

Week 6: This past week we had two guys in camp. Each saw multiple gobblers on each day of their hunt, and one of the hunters harvested a beautiful tom on the second day.

Season Stats: Out of the 21 hunters we had in camp 13 birds were killed. Another 6 had opportunities: out of those six, three hunters missed and two hunters passed on birds. Only 2 hunters didn’t have an opportunity.

2012 Black Bear

We had 3 bear hunters in camp first week and all three had shot opportunities and two connected on beautiful bear.

We also had a elk hunter from week 3 who harvested a nice bear on his hunt.

Week 4 we had 2 guided bear hunters and 2 non-guided bear hunters. Our two guided bear hunters both shot great bears under 20 yards. Wright from Georgia shot his with his bow and Jennifer from Florida got a monster 396 lb bear with a rifle. Our two non guided hunters struck out, although they had fresh bear tracks going right through their camp.

2012 Mule Deer

Aaron Watson from TX shot this 3×4 mule deer buck with guide Fred on the second morning of his hunt.

Wayne Loewer from AR shot his first mule deer buck on the last evening of his hunt after shooting his first bull elk ever that morning, both with guide Weston.

Wright Harrell shot this mule deer to cap off an awesome fall where he harvested a great bull elk and also a black bear.

Steve from TX shot this nice buck on the last day of his combo hunt. He also took home a nice Pope and Young Antelope.

2012 Archery Elk

Week 1 we had 3 guided elk hunters in camp the first week and 3 non-guided elk hunters. Out of our 3 Non- guided we harvested 1 bull, had one bull missed and the third hunter did not have an opportunity. So we were 2 out of 3 on shot opportunities and 1 out of 3 on harvests for our non-guided hunters. On the guided hunters…All three saw bulls, 1 client had two misses on a nice bull, one client passed up two opportunities on cows under 20 yards and the third client did not have a shot opportunity.

Week 2 we had 3 guided elk hunters in camp and all three saw bear, deer, turkey and elk. The great news is all three also shot nice bull elk. Making week 2 an awesome week all around.

Week 3 we had 8 Elk hunters in camp with multiple tags for different species. We had 1 Bull killed and a few other close calls on elk. This group also killed one bear, one 4 x 4 mule deer and 2 Antelope. We had one bull missed, one bear missed and a few other misses on antelope and turkey. All in all a fun week.

Week 4 We had four guided elk hunters and 2 non-guided hunters. Our guided hunters all saw multiple bulls including a 12 yard encounter with a big 6 x 6. Now elk were taken, but two cows were passed on hunter 25 yards. One of the clients had a bear tag also and missed a bear at 22 yards. Our 2 non- guided hunters had a close call on their first day. One missed a bull under 25 yards and that same afternoon they were on a group with a nice herd bull. Unfortunately, they did not close the deal.

Last week was filled with close calls. Out of 6 guided elk hunters, we killed on elk, had on missed and all clients saw bulls. Some real close calls. Our bear hunting was slow and unfortunately our last bear hunter was not successful although one bear was seen

2012 Archery Antelope

We have 7 hunters in camp this week. On our first day we had one nice buck taken and three other hunters had bucks between 30 and 45 yards. Day two we had one buck missed and Jack from Texas smoked a nice buck. Day Three….We had two more bucks harvested, one buck missed and two of our hunters had to leave early but all hunters have had shot opportunities. Day four, our last hunter saw bucks but no luck. The week ended with 100% shot opportunities for our hunters.

Week 2 we had 8 hunters in camp. Another great week at Fulldraw. Out of 8 hunters 6 of 8 killed great bucks and 7 out of 8 had shots. The only hunter not to get a shot saw lots of bucks and had bucks in range but no shot opportunity.

Week three we have 5 Antelope hunters and it was another incredible week. Out of 5 hunters 4 took beautiful bucks and 5 out of the 5 had shots. Photos soon. Another 100% week on shot opportunities.

Week four- We had two hunters on combo hunts that harvested nice bucks.

2012 Rifle Elk

1st Season: We had 7 hunters in camp this week. Even with the unesasonably warm weather we had four hunters shoot bulls, one bull was missed at 100 yards, and there were multiple other close calls.

2nd Season / 1st week: We had 4 hunters in camp this week and we harvested 4 bulls. 100%!!

2nd Season / 2nd week: We had 4 hunters in camp this week, Jackie Bushman passed on a 5×5 bull at 100 yards. A lady from PA and a client from KY both missed easy shots at bulls and we harvested on nice 6×5 bull. At the end of the week we were 100% on shot opportunities and 75% on shots.

3rd Season: We had 9 hunters in camp this week who hunted hard through unseasonably warm weather. We were above 50% on shot opportunities with a nice 5×6 bull being harvested, three bulls being missed, and another being passed on. Everyone saw elk through the course of their hunt and we also harested a nice 3×4 mule deer buck!!

2012 Rifle Cow Elk

First week of Rifle Cow elk we had 4 clients and all 4 harvested cows. So we were 100% first week.

Second week we had 4 clients and 65 degree weather in December. The elk weren’t moving and no one shot a thing. Our slowest week ever.
